The Geek I/O Show: Episode 22 - The Om-nom-lick-it game

This week on The Geek I/O Show, we were joined by the nerdcore, mixtaping, rapping, founding member of the ThoughtCriminals, Mikal kHill!  Also, Rachel was out of commission due to oral...surgery, so Marlissa Doss sat in to bring some feminine touch to the show.

We discussed Candy Crush addictions, saving babies with bubbles, beating Halo 4 while you're sick, we kinda want a WiiU now, nerdcore networking, we're not ashamed of Animal Crossing, making your 27 hour drive less painful with The Browncoats Mixtape, Marlissa's Sherlock fan-fic, free Torchlight, that Simpsons social game, the new PS3 updates that breaks everything, and Microsoft does a 180 on the XBox One's always on internet connection.  Plus!  Google brings internet to the world with space balloons!

Join us on Geek I/O, won't you?  We'll make you a Master Chief smoothie.

Geek I/O Rants and Reviews: The Color of Magic

This week on the Geek I/O Rant and Review, we discuss 2008's TV miniseries The Color of Magic based on Terry Pratchett's Discworld book series.

Why was this movie so divisive?  What is the color of magic?  Why does Sean Astin age so slowly?  How many cheeseburgers has Tim Curry eaten?  Should David Bradley ever take his shirt off?  How many Excalibur references can your magic sword make?  Can you imagine (poor cgi) dragons?  Does your steampunk space suit fit?  Does an orangutan make a good librarian?  Why so serious, space turtle?

Join us on Geek I/O, won't you?  We'll meet you at the circum-fence.

Geek I/O! Episode 18: Iyaz says - "Trannie in, trannie out"

This week on Geek I/O that guy from TWiT with all the tech news and know how who gives everyone mic envy, Iyaz Akhtar!

We discussed seeing Iron Man 3 (no spoilers), May the 4th at Disney, video games, Comic Geek I/O takes over a segment, Deleware becomes number 11, RIP Ray Harryhausen, Adobe shots Creative Suite to the cloud, a new Humble Bundle, EA acquires Star Wars video games license (NOOOOOOO!), Android home automation, and whether or not red meat is killing us.  Plus!  Science 3D prints a bionic ear!

On this week's Rant and Review, we watch 1995's Jury Duty as we continue Pauly Shore month.  What does Iyaz think of our movie choice?  How do idiots game the judicial system?  Why would anyone have a keg of Hawaiian Tropic?  Why is Stanley Tucci always the bad guy?  Is asbestos the real hero here?  Why is Pauly Shore able to make us laugh at dumb things we shouldn't be laughing at?

Geek I/O! Episode 16: "Really smart Mormons in a time box"

This week on Geek I/O, we were joined by the YouTube wonder chick, the Hogwarts dancin', game commenting, fellow Alabamian Christine Patko (aka Christinibini).  We weren't on our best behavior, despite having an extra lady-type around.

We talked about YouTubing, new shows coming to Geek I/O, trolling at Disney, finals week, "exercise", Bladeslinger crashing the Kindle, Martin Freeman may be the greatest actor ever, loud XBox is loud, Slater's new PS3, France gets gayer (in a good way), Zombieland the series is terrible, the Dr. Who season 7 finale approaches, new XBox to be revealed, Human Rights Watch says no killer robots, teen creates biodiesel under her bed, and the IT crowd is coming to the US.  Plus!  Peanut Butter Bacon Milkshakes!

In this week's Rant and Review, we watched 2004's Primer, written/directed/starring Shane Carruth.  What would you do with your time box?  Can you handle the techno-babble?  How good can a $7000 movie be?  Why lock your time double in an attic?  What do they do with engineers when they turn forty?

All this and more on Geek I/O!  We'll try not to make your ears bleed.

Geek I/O episode 16

Uploaded by Geek I/O Podcast Network on 2013-04-25.

Unfortunate report from the Geek I/O family

We at Geek I/O would like to address the slanderous tweets and postings that have been directed at our team in recent days.  Recently, we decided to cut ties with Lou Gagliardi and his show CanterCast due a breach of contract.  It has come to our attention that Mr. Gagliardi has been making comments that the Geek I/O staff “have people that actively talk about other people's dogs being put down for no reason” as seen in his tweet on April 15, 2013 at 7:36PM from his personal twitter account (@lougagliardi) which was retweeted on his CanterCast professional account (@CantercastShow) (https://twitter.com/lougagliardi/status/323988359301185536).  All of us here at Geek I/O have pets (whether cats, dogs, birds, fish, etc.) and we would never wish an animal ill!

This aside, Mr. Gagliardi has tweeted that certain members of the Geek I/O staff should “go slit their wrists” and this type of public slander of our team members is a huge breach of the contract that he signed when he was brought onto the Geek I/O network of PodCasts.  As Mr. Gagliardi was still on a probationary period at this time it was decided unanimously that his actions were unacceptable and his continued work within Geek I/O Studios was terminated immediately.

We apologize to our fans and followers for how this has affected them in recent days.
